Task TV: VanAM 2009 Edit // 캐나다(Canada) Rollerblading / 스케잇힝

* 아래와 동일한 영상입니다.

For those who haven’t heard of the VanAM competition, it’s held once a year in the great Vancouver city area. It’s purpose is to give up and comers a chance to showcase their skills, get a taste of competition, and possibly win the title of VanAM. This competition is open for beginner and amateur level rollers so don’t be discouraged to enter if you’ve just started skating. We encourage it! Competitors will be judged on style, creativity, consistency, technicality, and how far they step out of their comfort zone.

VanAM results.

Mr. Van-AM 09 - Brian Fejcovic (Richmond, BC)
Best trick - Tommy Chung (Vancouver, BC)
Best line - David Marsh (Edmonton, AB)
Most creative trick - Brandon Rubens (England)

Van-AM this year was a very fun event. About 70 rollerbladers showed up and skated really hard. I want to thank every one for showing up and helping out our tight community.
I would also like to give my respect to Kash from Duncan, BC. This 13 years old kid just started skating and he was skating super hard. Unfortunate he fell very bad and broke his arm. I must say that I have never seen anyone being so cool about his injury. Kash is the bravest kid I know, he took it like a real man. Everyone wishes Kash a quick recovery and we all hope to see him back on his skates very soon.
Thanks everyone.
